Will families be accommodated alone in a room?
Yes, families are accommodated in their own shared room.

Can children stay the night alone in the youth hostel?
Young people traveling alone between the ages of 14 and 17 are very welcome here. Children under the age of 14 are generally not allowed to stay in a youth hostel alone, but only when accompanied by an adult. Parents' consent is required for a stay without an adult.

When are there warm meals?
When booking half-board, a warm meal is included in addition to breakfast. You are free to choose whether you have them at noon or in the evening. When booking full board, there is a cold and a warm meal in addition to breakfast. Here, too, you can choose whether to have the warm meal at noon or in the evening. If you take a packed lunch with you at lunchtime, you will receive a warm meal in the evening. There is also the option of barbecuing in the evening. We are based entirely on your individual wishes.

When are the meal times in the youth hostels?
The regular meal times are:

Lunch: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Can parents travel to holiday camps?
At the holiday camps, only the children should be in the youth hostel, not the parents, if possible. Experience has shown that if some parents are there and others not, this leads to tension in the group and the children cannot move around as freely. The aim of the holiday camps is to give the children the experience of an individual and independent holiday. We make sure that professional all-round care is guaranteed for the children.

Are there also youth hostels for single parents?
As a single parent you are of course very welcome in all youth hostels in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland! We want to be a point of contact for families, no matter in which constellation and with how many generations you are traveling.

Are youth hostels also suitable for grandparents and grandchildren?

Can I take my dog ​​with me?
The subject of "dogs in youth hostels" is a very polarizing one. The dog owners would like to take their dogs with them and many non-dog owners and especially the increasing allergy sufferers are strictly against it. We had guests with dogs in two youth hostels for over a year in order to gain experience. The feedback shows that there are guests who have criticized this heavily, because their allergies are so great that they cannot stay near dogs and the rooms can never be completely cleared of the allergy-causing substances. Also, there are many children who are afraid of dogs. For this reason, we would like to leave the previous regulation that dogs are not allowed.

Can I bring my (small) dog to another youth hostel outside of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland?
