How to say harm in Mandarin

Major fire in London luxury hotel

Almost 120 firefighters and 20 fire engines are deployed to fight fires. "The hotel has been evacuated by employees, and emergency services are currently working on bringing the fire under control and systematically searching the building," said a message from the fire department. It is likely that the operation will continue all night.

According to initial information, the fire broke out in the attic of the twelve-story five-star hotel. It was initially not known whether people were harmed, and the cause of the fire is also unclear. Thick billows of black smoke could be seen in pictures over the red brick building.

Several normally busy intersections have been closed near the hotel in the Knightsbridge area. An entrance to the nearby Knightsbridge tube station has also been closed.

Renovation just finished

The Mandarin Oriental is located on William Street near the fine Harrods department store. The German and French embassies are also not far from the hotel complex.

According to the BBC, the fire broke out one week after the completion of the "most extensive restoration in 115-year history" of the luxury hostel with 198 rooms and suites. The hotel on famous Hyde Park opened in 1902 and was taken over by the Mandarin Oriental hotel chain in 1996.
