Why do people like to use the internet

Cyberbullying, sexting and hate speech can also result in anonymity on the Internet. The perpetrators of cyberbullying spread bad rumors about a person via the Internet and insult them to the utmost. Even if the bullies hide behind avatars or usernames, those who suffer usually have a guess as to who in their environment might be behind it. Hate speech, on the other hand, is not directed against individual people, but against groups of people. With hate speech, for example, people of one religion, skin color or sexual orientation are insulted or condemned. This goes so far that violence against them is called for through various media. While this bullying over the Internet doesn't seem too bad at first glance, it doesn't happen in the real world. But it can have fatal consequences, because sensitive or malicious content such as photos and videos spread rapidly over the Internet and it is very difficult to stop the spread. If you and your child come across inappropriate content online that violates the protection of minors, you can report it here. In sexting, it is the young people themselves who send erotic texts or photos of themselves to people they trust. This only becomes dangerous when this relationship ends in a dispute and the content is disseminated in the networks, for example out of revenge.

Unfortunately, there are no filters or apps to counter these consequences of anonymity online. Your child's media skills are particularly important here. Respectful behavior towards other people is not only an important value in the offline world. Because not only who creates these insults and hostility, but also everyone who spreads them becomes accomplices.
