Do you want to be sure that your food is digested quickly and optimally? Then eat bitter vegetables like endive, kale, Swiss chard, and arugula. Garlic, onions, leeks, carrots, fennel and artichokes also work wonders. Citrus fruits help to support stomach acid. A large grapefruit also provides a lot of liquid. By the way, always eat the fruit first and then food that is more difficult to digest to prevent fermentation in the stomach.
5. Spice it up!
There are many herbs that aid digestion. Examples of this include cinnamon and cloves, but your digestive system will also appreciate mint, turmeric, and ginger. Variety is also an important factor in good digestion. Tip: Prepare a fresh herbal drink or herbal tea. With it you not only do something for your digestion, but also for a balanced fluid balance.
6. The importance of a good intestinal flora
The intestinal flora keeps us healthy. These bacteria play a major role in digestive processes. Irregular meal times, always the same food, wrong eating habits and too little chewing can throw this internal flora out of balance. 7. Better no dairy products and cereals

Grain products also contain an allergen, gluten. If you are allergic to gluten, it can cause severe discomfort. Other products that can cause problems include alcohol, chocolate, soft drinks, tomatoes, and beans.
If you don't want to do without dairy products, take them in fermented form, such as yogurt. The bacteria have already done the preparatory work and made the food easier to digest. In addition, these bacteria are beneficial for a good intestinal flora.
8. Fats and carbohydrates
With a healthy weight, there is less chance of digestive problems. It starts with reducing saturated fats and carbohydrates such as those found in bread, soft drinks, dairy products and ready-to-eat meals. Chicken, turkey and lean beef are good alternatives. Good unsaturated fats are mainly found in oily fish.
9. Healthy exercise
After eating, you should take a little walk. This calm movement is exactly the right signal for your digestive system: Now is the time to start generating energy! Exercise also promotes bowel function, which is essential for the digestive process and bowel movements. However, intensive exercise is not recommended because it temporarily switches off your digestion.
10. What if your stomach rumbled anyway?
Warm water and warm tea, such as organic green tea, can provide relief. You can also take a spoonful of apple cider vinegar after your meal. Would you prefer to take preventive action?
